At Finesse K9, we don’t subscribe to a single training style—because no two dogs are the same. We select the approach and tools that best support you and your dog’s goals, and we teach you how to use them responsibly and effectively. In a world full of opinions and misinformation, be cautious of anyone claiming there is only one “right” way to train a dog. Balanced training means tailoring the method, not forcing the dog to fit it.

Right away! It’s important to set your puppy up for lifelong success by starting training the minute your new puppy comes home.

At Finesse K9, we recognize that every dog, every behavior challenge, and every owner is unique. There are no shortcuts in quality training. We set clear and realistic expectations based on your dog’s needs and your specific situation. Progress depends on commitment, consistency, and the work you put in—training is a lifelong process, not a quick fix. Be wary of anyone promising to “solve” complex behaviors in a session or a week; if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

Training your dog is something that should be a constant and continual process in your dog’s life. By starting your dog off young, you are setting good foundation to build on top of. Your dog, much like a young child, will go through development changes, and you’ll need to stay consistent with training/continue to advance as your dog matures. Rest assured, we can help you through this process.

Yes. We we work with any breed, any dog, any problem. We specialize in working with the most challenging of dogs. If you are struggling with your dog’s behavior, please don’t give up, we can help you.

At Finesse K9, we use a balanced training approach—meaning we don’t rely on a single method. We work with each dog to learn what motivates them. One size does not fit all; just like people, dogs have individual preferences. Not every dog values food—many thrive on play, toys, praise, or other rewards.

All training sessions are non-refundable and require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel. Because sessions are booked weeks in advance, we ask that clients commit to the time they reserve. Dog training is a collaborative process, and due to the many variables involved—owner consistency, follow-through, and environmental factors—it would be unethical to offer guarantees. We can get dogs to work for us, but true success comes when they do the same for you. Our focus is on training you to train your dog. With consistency and follow-through, you can expect meaningful progress and remarkable transformation.
